MOSBRI 2025: Exploring Molecular-Scale Biophysics in Paris
This event builds on the success of earlier MOSBRI conferences (Paris 2022, Zaragoza 2023, and Ljubljana 2024) by demonstrating how an integrated, multi-methodological network can address a diverse set of life science research topics.
What is Molecular-Scale Biophysics?
Molecular-scale biophysics is at the intersection of cellular, molecular, and structural biology, bridging the gap between atomic-resolution structures and cellular observations. It is the study of the architecture, dynamics, and interactions of life's large molecules, including as proteins, DNA, RNA, polysaccharides, and lipids, utilising a range of physical approaches. This field is critical for understanding how living organisms work and allowing us to manipulate molecular function for medicinal and other purposes.
What to Expect at MOSBRI2025:
- Plenary lectures by renowned experts in the field.
- Oral and poster presentations showcasing cutting-edge research.
- Company presentations highlighting the latest technological advancements.
- Success stories from researchers who have benefited from MOSBRI's trans-national access (TNA) opportunities.
Conference Themes:
- Macromolecular assemblies: architecture, energetics, and dynamics
- Single molecule/single particle biophysics
- Molecular biophysics in vivo/in situ and in biomimetic environments
- Artificial intelligence, computational approaches, and data analysis
- Macromolecular engineering and structure/function studies
- Molecular biophysics to address societal challenges (climate change, infectious or degenerative diseases, etc.)
About MOSBRI:
MOSBRI is a cooperation of 13 academic centres of excellence and two industry partners from 11 different European countries, led by the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) and supported by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 project. It was established in 2021 to give researchers in biomedicine, biotechnology, biomaterials, and related fields with cutting-edge apparatus and knowledge.
The list of speakers has been revised, and information on scholarships for PhD students and early-stage postdoctoral researchers has been added.
